In The Garden: found around bird feeder

    Could it be Kochia scoparia (syn. Bassia scoparia)?

    Yes!! Kochia scoparia, now Brassia scoparia. Considered an invasive weed in Eastern Washington and Oregon. Also used by Native Americans for animal forage and medicine. I also used it to create a strong, lightly tan handmade paper with it. Alas (for me), it is a rare occurrence to find Burningbush on the west side of the Cascade Mountains.
