I would like to know whether this is a plant or a flower, and what is the name of it. Thank You in advance
Stachys byzantia? (aka Lamb's Ears.) Just a by the way - all flowers are plants, but not all plants produce flowers....
My first thought was Verbascum, but I am not certain. If you mean is this a flower? No they are leaves arranged in a rosette shape. This would be called a basal rosette.
Great Mullein Verbascum thapsus; an invasive weed in your area. This is a first-year plant, it'll flower next year (unless you remove it first!).
Eric La Fountaine is correct. I brought one home from the compost site thinking this is the largest Lamb's Ears I have ever seen! It is sitting in a pot in my front yard.:) Googled it again and MichaelF has the complete name. AAAWWW, but it's leaves are soft and fuzzy like a Lamb's ear. And mine is about to flower. It's so cute! Well, I guess I will have to pull that one anyway...and it's back to the compost site. Big thank you!
