Flower i.d., common flower

Some time ago, I had a subforum here of flowers and the mandala-like images I made from them. I've resumed this project, and as before, I am pretty ignorant of flowers. Here's a flower I'd much appreciate your identifying for me, as well as the image I am working on derived from this photo.

Looks like Calendula officinalis. Common name yellow marigold.
