I was walking through the Central Garden at the Getty Museum in LA, and the sunlight hit this patch of flowers in the shadows. I really regret not looking at the placards nearby. I am not sure, but believe this may be a type of dahlia. Could someone please help me identify this flower? Thanks!

Yes, you are right, it's a Dahlia cultivar.
