I find, though I have acquired several fairly thorough texts on flowers, that my ignorance has not waned. Some day I'll have a garden. Meanwhile, thanks in advance for shedding a bit more light.

#2 is one of many dahlia cultivars
    #3 is a Canna lily
#4 is a rose (single in the sence it has only one row of petals.)

All have many cultivars, dahlias like hostas and daylilys would be hard to pin down without knowing them to start with.

You might find the Canna lily by doing a pictures search. Possibly 'Red Futurity'?

Although there have been some roses developed with single petals, there are many choices there too. Wild roses, root stocks that the rose is grafted to sometimes come up instead of the the original, as well as those roses sold with single petals.

I see Ron beat me to it, and Rosa rugosa looks right to me.
