fern identification

    saw this along the road, just not sure which type of fern this is. i was thinking tree fern but wanted confirmation from someone who might now. would of asked the land owner but they were not there.

    It looks for all the world to be Asparagus, but I've never seen a solid stand like this before(including when I lived in Fl.).
    I wonder if this is being grown for the cut flower trade as filler material?

    Not a fern. I'd agree with Chris, probably a species of Asparagus.

    interesting, there were many lots identical to this one along this stretch of road and some sections much larger but all had a hammock canopy with spaced sprinklers as shown. i was hoping it was something that i could put in my yard while using it for consuming. thanks for the response.
