Hello, Here is a plant looking like Tussac grass, but the leaves are blue and more spiny than tussac. Does someone know what it is ? Thank you
Several references on www mention...."beautiful bluegrass Poa alopecurus" However none of the pics look as blue as your pic. FI Conservation - Wildlife in the Falklands
Thank you silver, It was really blue and very unpleasant to sit on, as the end of the leaves were very sharp. This was very different from the Tussac that was very pleasant to lean on
Wiki has a list of vascular plants. Maybe it will be on that. Elymus magellanicus is a clump-forming species, native to Chile and Argentina, and has spiky, steel-blue leaves. elymus magellanicus FALKLANDS - Google Search FalklandConservation on Twitter
Thank you very much Silver, Sorry for my late answer but I was away with no connection. Elymus magellanicus is the one ! Cheers
