Right now, at this very moment and also for the last two weeks, a shrub has been flowering around the lower mainland that is quite spectacular. It's a natural, growing in the wild and has small white flowers that are hooded by two leaves. The green of the leaves makes the white of the flower stand out. The plant is quite dainty looking, the flowers hanging down along the limbs. The tallest one I've seen is possibly 8 feet tall.with a spread of approximately 6 feet.
Anyone know what the name of this beauty is???
    Thank you,
    Allen

Could the plant be Oemleria cerasiformis (oso berry)? See this link to an image from the Bellevue Botanical Garden (note that they are using a name that is no longer accepted, Osmaronia cerasiformis).

I updated the link. They are no longer using the Osmaronia name, but I left the comment, thought it was interesting to see the former name.
