Hi all, My dragon treethas survived around 5 years in ny care so far, it had 4 leafed stalks (sorry for lamens terms, I don't know howhelse to describe!) One stalk was broken when I moved house a few years ago, that never grew back (I'm assuming they don't do that) Now another has started to go soft from halfway up the stalk to the top and the leaves look like they are all about to fall off. Can I rescue this before the whole tree goes? TIA
Welcome, Natasha. Please reply with some photos of your dragon tree so we can see exactly what you mean. If it's not clear how to do that, see Attach photos and files.
I would remove that stalk by pruning it a bit below the point where it's soft, making sure the cut is into healthy wood.
New shoots do sprout from the remaining stem under the right conditions. http://blogs.ifas.ufl.edu/nassauco/2017/06/20/q-please-tell-can-dracaena-stem-fronds-top/
