Can anyone identify this palm tree? Our 8 month old Golden Retreiver Puppy ate the bark yesterday and spent the night in the hospital. We believe it is in the Cycad family. Sago Plams are poisonous to dogs and as a precaution, since it is a cycad, we had to take extreme measures. If anyone can identify and let me know if this specific palm/cycad is dangerous I would be grateful. We may need more treatment for our dog-unsure?? We have been told certain types of palms can harm the liver and even lead to death within a few days. The animal poison control dept. was un-able to identify it. I would appreciate any help!
