Costa Rica forest tree

    This tree was flowering in the rainforest in southern Costa Rica in July. Any guidance on its id would be greatly appreciated.

    It looks like Embothrium coccineum, but I don't see that that's supposed to be growing farther north than Peru. There is also something called Oreocallis, but it seems like the story is similar for that, see Oreocallis in Trees and shrubs of the Andes of Ecuador @ efloras.org, in Spanish. "Rojizas" is reddish.
    Maybe it's something else, or maybe you've discovered an extension to the range of one of them.

    Look at the Loranthaceae. An image search for the family yields many similar looking inflorescences.
