Can anyone provide the Latin name for Chinese waxwood? This is sometimes also called white waxwood. It is a wood that has traditionally been used in Chinese martial arts for spears and staffs. It is fairly dense and quite flexible. I'm surprised how difficult it is for me (and others) to locate the formal name for this, as it is a well-known wood with long history of use.
