I was given a plant a couple of years ago by a friend (who didn't know what it was) and it did nothing until this year when it decided to flower! The flowers only last around 2 days though, but are really lovely when they do bloom. Also it doesn't like too much water - or too little. One other thing is they seem to be buds at night and in flower in the morning. So I Don't know whether they're flowering over night or very early morning. Please see attached image(s). Thanks !!
