I have attached a picture that has a large clump of berries on a large bush or small tree. The berries are about the size, shape and color of a blueberry but with red stems and in multiple clumps around a circle up about 12-15' high in a large bush/small tree, as can be seen by the picture. This picture was taken early last fall, in mid-late September near the Allegheny National Forest in Northwest Pennsylvania. What is it? Are the berries edible? Anything else you can tell me? Thank you.
WOW! That was a fast reply and right on the money! I didn't get close enough to it to ID the barbed branches or I might have seen that it was the devil's walking stick myself. I didn't realize they produced fruit, but apparently not edible. Thanks so much for the fast reply. roadroverk
