A friend in California sent me a photo of a shrub requesting information on it’s name. I admit, in all my years in the Australian horticulture industry, I have never seen this before. It resembles a hibiscus in its leaf form and from what I can see of the buds. It’s part of a group of similar low shrubs in a street planting so I believe.
