I inherited the garden with the house. We have these perennials with a white, star shaped flower with a yellow, star shaped eye. I can't find it anywhere on the Internet.
It's a polyanthus (Primula hybrid), distinguishable from a primrose (Primula vulgaris) by the multiple flowers per stem.

Yes, it does appear to be Brunnera (or maybe one of the similar borage family genera) and the purple-flowered groundcover is periwinkle (probably Vinca major rather than Vinca minor)
