Opposite now-purple thick leaves that might have been all green or is it just the ones that get the sun are purple, white leaf undersides with red veins, white buds. I think it's a shrub, but maybe a tree - I vaguely remember thinking that I just saw two now-interesting bush-looking things that were really trees, but maybe I misremember that.
Great, thanks. I've never heard of that Viburnum (I'm relieved to know). Parents are Viburnum erubescens × Viburnum henryi; only henryi is at UBCBG. I read that it's semi-evergreen, in England anyway, so maybe here.
