Can anybody tell me if this is common boneset or snakeroot? If the latter, it’s toxic to animals, especially cattle, though I’ve read conflicting information about whether it’s equally dangerous for dogs and cats. Does anybody have any insight on that question? Thanks.

I'm not a botanist by any measure, but I did find an interesting video that talks about the differences between the two on Youtube: /watch?v=w7Y_DkmzR6c He mentions Snakeroot has the wider base leaves, while Boneset has a much narrower leaf, and is also perfoliate; the stems grow through the leaves. Based on this, assuming the information is correct, which seems accurate to other images of boh plants I can find online, it looks like this is Snakeroot.

Leaf texture and margin strongly suggests snakeroot.
