Hello all, was walking the dog with my son and came across these growing in an easement across from our property, it's been a few years since I've seen plants like this, just wanted to confirm if this is a Saskatoon berry or another of the non edible varieties that grow in the area, thankyou for any help you can provide!
Yes - Saskatoon berries Traditional First Nation berry gathering in Okanagan BC A few weeks ago you would have seen small frilly white flowers like big snow flakes The leaves will be yellow in autumn then fall off. And soon - those berries will be dark navy blue purple — we don’t pick ours because they are food for wild birds and we like Okanagan peaches more :)
