There are similar fruiting plants in the Garden here now. Does this seem early? 4ager, I assume you like to find wild edibles. You might want to try this one. I only found out it was edible late last year. I sampled some. They are quite tart, but I found them very tasty. (Probably way too sour and strong for most people) They make good preserves or can be added to sweeter fruit. Loaded with vitamin C. I look forward to trying out some new jelly recipes when they ripen.
Thanks Eric, I will taste it once it ripens a bit. I am trying to learn survival tactics, in case I ever get lost in the woods somewhere. So, after watching some Youtube videos, I figured I better start learning what the plants are and which ones are edible. Starting at home is a great place to learn, and then go from there, as I tend to hike a lot. How do you guys know all these names of plants??? Impressive.
