This is a plant I saw at a restuarant in NC. It is very bushy and the bloom is white with very yellow center. Kind of reminds me of a dogwood bloom, althought I know it's not. Any ideas would be very helpful. Thanks
Probably a mock-orange Philadelphus, but more detail would help, primarily a pic of a shoot showing the leaf arrangement and flower positioning.
Do you recall any scent? Mock orange usually has a strong perfume which is one of the reasons they are grown. Margaret
I am actually identifing this for a co-worker..She said it smells mostly at night..??? I did look up a mock orange. And we believe that is it. I really appreciate all the help you guys have provided!! You are Botanical Geniuses!
There is an eastern species that doesn't smell. http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=philadelphus+inodorus&um=1&sa=N&tab=wi
