There are a lot of these plants growing around the Deer Lake area and I was wondering what the plant is and if the berries are edible. My husband and I love eating the salmonberries, thimbleberries and blackberries that grow in the area. These ones look very inviting.

    Thanks

    Oemleria cerasiformis.

According to Plants for a Future, edible but rather bitter and not a lot of flesh over the stone, best used for making jam, jelly, etc.
