Does any one know of any documented records of nut productivity for any of the three productive Araucarias? A.araucana A.angustfolia A.bidwillii.

I require the information for two reasons: I am writing a paper on these crops examining their potential as food sources. I am considering doing an examination of the 3000 acres of bidwillii plantings in QLD for productivity.

    Any thoughts/help deeply appreciated.

Not aware of anything myself, though there probably are published statistics in their native countries.

The main barrier to establishing orchards of them is the very long time between investment (planting costs) and first returns (harvests), with only very small numbers of cones until they're ~40 years old.
