Aquatic Plant id

    Hello there people, any chance ye could identify these two things: The first is a fleshy weed that grows near stream, can't identify it for the life of me...

    Here's another shot of it...

    And secondly what in good gods name above is the hairy or furry looking brown stuff that seems to grow on the bottom of our stream when there's a drop in the water level and its warm. it covers EVERYTHING under water. when you pick it out it disintegrates like slime. any ideas?? not particularly smelly either...

    Doesn't fit that - Berula erecta has much more obviously serrated leaflet margins. Possibly Apium nodiflorum, but I'm not too sure of that either.
