Most of my long life, I have enjoyed keeping up with political and current affairs – newspapers, TV, websites, etc. but it is finally getting far too negative for me. Instead, I now click onto sites like the UBC Forums for its calm, dispassionate discussions of horticultural topics that, at this point in time, seem far more relatable than the chaos going on in the world. Thank you, UBC Forums!
My favourite active thread at the moment is (1) Japanese Maple for color blindness people | UBC Botanical Garden Forums, in which the OP wants to make a garden that their partner can appreciate. That's almost as feel-good as dog rescue videos.
