Anyone know what this is? Is the fruit edible?

    I think these are planted for decoration along the river walk in my city. I'd like to know what they are and if they are edible or poisonous.

    Ditto to Silver surfer. Fruit not edible for people (birds can, and do).

    These here are not the same right? They are side by side and these turn from red to black also but have completely different leaves and structure. I was going to enquire about these in a different thread but...if it can be answered here then I'll save the space.
