Tobago. When I took pic's of this plant (which I found in a public area ) I thought it looked like Euphorbia tithymaloides. However the shape of the leaves does not match anything I can find on www Below are 2 links which is as near as I can get. Beautiful Pedilanthus Plant #euphorbia #tithymaloidesv #pedilanthus #tithymaloides #pedilanthusti - sozianaplant CalPhotos: Euphorbia tithymaloides Any suggestions please?
Hoya kerrii variegata im think id say albo marginata to be exact? my first thought was ficus tho and i still am kinda leaning that way Ficus Triangularis but im not sure
Many thanks for the suggestion Botanically Baked. I can see why you thought of Hoya kerrii..... "is a an evergreen, climbing, shrubby, perennial with opposite pairs of fleshy mid-green, variegated leaves. .." Looking at my pic I believe the leaves are alternate forming a sort of zig zag...not does it appear to want to climb. I enclose a trimmed image
This article: The Caribbean slipper spurge Euphorbia tithymaloides: the first example of a ring species in plants mentions 8 subspecies, one of which is E. tithymaloides subsp. padifolia. Queries on the subspecies all bring up the same photos, but here is a herbarium photo of a plant from Barbados that has leaves shaped like yours: Occurrence Detail 1097383798.
wcutler, Perfect...Euphorbia tithymaloides subsp padifolia ..... looks spot on. I am most grateful to you for doing this research for me. When I first saw it I thought Euphorbia tithymaloides...the stem had the same white markings as the regular plant. see pic below from regular plants Only when I got home did I realise the leaves were completely different. Many thanks. SS
