    Does it go gold or red in autumn and drop it's leaves? Is it self sown? it looks familiar but I am scrambling for a name. Ron will be a long shortly and we will both know.

    Not sure about the high number of leaflets but otherwise it does look like some kind of sumac. Ailanthus or Toona might otherwise be expected but not seeing the characteristics of those in these shots myself. Maybe somebody else will think differently.

    Now I know why it was familiar there is one down on the boundary fence if that is the same as the tree of heaven they are refering to on google. thanks Lila. Lorax the one you named was what I was looking for but kept coming up with rusk??????????

    Lila this is the one that goes pink in spring???? then just normal green. As usual they say it is a weed here in Aust, So far mine is fine

    Agree it is Ailanthus altissima, but the thread title already says so! Why are we being asked to identify it when the title already says what it is?

    Michael, Valter changes the title of his threads once he knows what the plant is. When I looked in, it was "Can Anybody ID this?" or something similar.
