A plant I planted but don't now what it is

    Looks like Brassica oleracea. Did you plant any kale or brussels sprouts maybe.

    It's had a visit from the cabbage moth too by the look of the munched leaves.

    Thanks, Liz. I'm still not totally certain it's cabbage, because the head never formed. All that grew were outer leaves, as you can see. I did see some pictures online of ornamental cabbage and, perhaps, that's what I have.

    It's brassica of some sort as Eric said and the cabbage belongs to that family. The white butterfly is happy to land on any in that family and leave its offspring. :) to do the eating
