    And of the ones not listed as endangered, the majority are just listed in an appendix 'Not yet evaluated'. Only a very few are listed as 'Least Concern'.

    We're using the planet up. Magnolias are indicators of wildness, like spotted owls and orchids. When ancient forests are disrupted, such organisms die out.
