    Hi Phillip,
    Dicentra cucullaria
Indigenous to north America and considered a useful herb by original inhabitants for skin complaints and syphilis.
You must have a giggle when someone from the other side of the globe identifies one of your backyard plants. Happy Gardening and send us some rain please

    No Problems,
    Rain would be lovely.
For those that aren't aware Sydneys gardens and residents have sadly become a casualty from state governments gross mismanagement and negligence. Our main reservoir Warragamba Dam is at a record low of 37% and still falling.
Sadly in the mid nineties,Govenrment were more concerned with making Sydney look pretty for the Olympics. They felt it more a priority to erect busshelters with seats that detered homeless sleeping on them than to initiate the recommended conservation strategies. Frustratingly, both professional and lifestyle gardeners are the ones to suffer under the draconian water restrictions regime. I was appointed to represent and consult govt on more effective and efficient strategies that would also have kept the 12,000 odd voters employed within horticulture. Nevertheless, we gardeners "push on" .
I feel that it is a terrible sign when a city that is ranked in the top 5 places to live in the world could actually die of thirst. It certainly is a sign of the times when govt forsight only lasts as long as their term of office.
I'm sorry to turn this into a soap box but it's pretty madening to see whats going on down in this outpost.
    Enjoy the rain.
