Here are some plants in a yard I just visited today. From top to bottom, we have

    1. a shrub with small red flowers,
    2. a shrub with newly budding leaves,
    3. a vine trained against a fence,
    4. two pics of a small shrub/tree that's starting to bloom purple flowers (curious how big this will get, too!)
    5. some green leafy naturalized sprouts (also curious what the shrub behind it is; i think the one to the right is mahonia japonica?)

Number 1 reminds me of a Prunus of some sort - do you have closeups of the flowers?

Number 3 could be anything, we need to wait for leaves on that one. The tangliness makes me think Hops.

Number 5 reminds me of Lilies (like Saskatchewan lilies) or Irises.

Yeah it's hard when there are no leaves! I don't have a closeup of the flowers but I may take some more pictures tomorrow..

    #1 - Chaenomeles (flowering quince).
    #2 - ?
    #3 - Probably Wisteria.
    ##4-5 - Magnolia species, perhaps M. liliiflora.
    #6 - ?

    1. Agree, flowering quince, Chaenomeles sp
    2. ? This one will be tough without closeups, leaves, flowers, etc.
    3. Looks likeWisteria but can't be definitive until the leaves show.
4-5. Agree - a Magnolia species/variety. Leaves and flowers will help to narrow down the identification.
    6. ?Hemerocallis species/variety (Daylilly)

I think #2 might be Philadelphus, mock orange. Other possibilities include Weigela, spirea, and such.

Here's a closeup pic of the flowering quince!

The second is the leaves on #2 shrub, which have sprouted more today than yesterday.
