5 leaved, vine-like

    Can anyone ID this plant? The leaves grow along a vine. THanks.

    This looks to me like Potentilla simplex -- it trails along the ground (and it looks like this is on the ground in the picture) and can appear vinelike. The leaves don't look to me like Virginia creeper up close. It may be a different potentilla, but look at simplex images and see what you think.

    Second for Potentilla. P.simplex or P.reptans.

    Yes, probably a Potentilla. Also, Virginia creeper has defined petiolules, and on this one, the leaflets look sessile.
