Hi! I saw this plant growing rampant in someone's front yard and, as I need something to cover an unsightly concrete wall, I took a cutting and rooted it. It rooted readily and now needs potting up, so I would like to know what it is. It's probably a weed, but I think it's pretty. Thank you.
When did the name change to Lamiastrum galeobdolon !? Last I knew it was Lamium galeobdolon. Thanks for the update Lila. A good ground cover plant. No good for hiding walls though. Rather rampant and invasive. http://www.google.co.uk/images?q=La...&source=og&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi&biw=1247&bih=528 http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgu...en-GB&biw=1247&bih=528&tbs=isch:1&um=1&itbs=1
So it has pretty leaves AND it gets pretty yellow flowers - bonus! Even though it is not a vine that will climb a wall, I am happy with it. I have a Lamium maculatum 'Purple Dragon', but I didn't notice the resemblance until now. Thank you very much.
