I have come across a bush that I am trying to identify. It grows wild along a swampy TransCanada bike trail, but after reading am unsure if it's wild red currant or Guelder Rose.
Both are listed as growing in the area. I would like to make a jelly if edible.

Neither of those: Viburnum opulus var. americanum (many older texts as Viburnum trilobum) or highbush-cranberry.

"Prized for its jelly" states the book I have near at-hand.

Well thank you - really pleased I looked up UBC Botanical for help. Will still go forward with the jelly.
