Tree with Pods

    Can someone ID this tree growing now in one of the parks in Dorval, QC. It looks beautiful with the pods. I tried to get a shot of the underside of the leaf but the lighting wasn't cooperating so it's not very clear.

    The pods look quite thick, so Catalpa speciosa, rather than the slender-podded Catalpa bignonioides.
