    Hello,
Can anyone Id this plant for me, it can be found growing on southern slopes in southern Alberta. It appears to be evergreen but has this wonderful 5 petaled bright yellow flower. There appear to be not many in existance but they are hearty and live in very competitive surroundings. The leaves/needles appear almost a cross of succulent and pine like in appearance, the biggest part of this that throws my investigation off is the flower. I am quite sure it stays green over winter but am not convinced I know for sure. Please name it and tell me where it grows most freely.
