Hello!!! I have found this website searching for help in this area. Sorry if it is in the wrong place or anything, but I am very curious. Could anyone identify what is this ? (see pictures) I found in south of Brazil and I am ignorant in this subject. It looks like a truffle in my opinion. Maybe it worth something? Or I may be very wrong, anyway I would appreciate any knowledge. Thank you.
That looks more like a plant tuber (or similar plant part) than a truffle. If the object on the right side of the second photo is an intact version of the one on the left, I'd guess that you have a rotten tuber and a dormant (or dead) one. I have no idea what plant has such a tuber. I've never seen a truffle with roots like the ones in the second photo.
Thanks Vitog!! I never saw a truffle here in Brazil, only saw in TV, and as I do not have any knowledge I thought it might be it... Thanks for the help!
