My neighbor has this bush in her backyard and has been trying to identify it for over a year. The bush is about 5-6 feet high and the leaves are about 2 inches long. I told her how smart all of you are... If you need any more pictures and/or information let me know...
see how far you get using this http://www.bbg.org/sci/nymf/key/ i got this far: http://www.bbg.org/sci/nymf/key/#192 unfortunatley for BC-ers, it's for NYC area plants! and since based on vegetative questions, it might not lead to closest botanic relatives of your BC (exotic perhaps?)plant. still, the key's questions might inspire you to add info, such as decidouos vs evergreen. and then maybe someone can id your shrub ?? maybe.. =-)
Burning Bush I have almost come to the same conclusion -- I was going through a book on shrubs and trees and saw the Turkestan Burning Bush -- the leaves are identical but the flowers were larger -- I have a call into the neighbors to see if the flowers get much bigger. Thanks
I concur I agree, Euonymus nanus turkestanicus, here is a link to a comparable picture. http://www.eggert-baumschulen.de/eutu.htm Have fun, raichael
