    Cornus sericia (syn. stolonifera) or possibly C. alba ? A Dogwood.

    Thanks chimera. Yes, C. sericia is what we decided, too, although it appears that distinguishing between C. sericia and C. alba can be difficult.

    Correct spelling is Cornus sericea.
