    Ciao Andrey, I have checked out both sp. dioca and gallica but they do not correspond. Now I will check the 2 main Italian flora sites.

    Andrey, The illustrated painted illustrations in my books, including photographs can be very misleading. I have just consulted the Flora Italiana site and found that you are absolutely right. It is Silene gallica. Thanks, duffy
