This one comes with a short story. When we first bought this house in 1998 the lady that lived here had a green thumb and kept meticulous care of her garden. When we moved in she told us to watch for all the flowering plants in the spring. We did not really know anything about plants, so we could not tell the weeds from the plants (except for the most familiar weeds/plants).

In the front corner of the garden this plant started to grow and grow and grow. We were anxiously waiting for it to flower but it never did. By the time fall came around it was almost 1 meter tall, no flowers. I gave up on it and just cut it down. The next year (and every year thereafter) we have these things popping up all over the yard. It turns out that it is flowering, except the flowers are so small they are almost invisible. It seems to flower even when it is very young, so we may never eliminate it.

Attached are some photos of the weed. Anyone know what this one is?
