Eight years ago I bought a corm of this in a garden centre in one of those bulb packets, labeled only "Calla lily Black Magic". Late last year in our southern hemisphere summer it finally flowered, after years of neglect and a couple of transplantings. The plant is about twice as tall as the more commonly grown Z. elliottiana, which grows like a weed for us (on deep basaltic soil, 900 m altitude, 1200-1500 mm annual rainfall). I believe it must be a form of Z. albomaculata, based on plant size and purple blotch in base of spathe.
