    Hello,

I just moved into a new apartment, where I found many plants in need of urgent help. I think one of them is some type of Yucca and it is not looking well at all. I would appreciate your help in identifying it and making it healthy.

It is huge and the pot it is in does not support its weight. I don't know if I need to prune it or repot it or both. The ends of the leaves are brown and dry like autumn leaves.

    Thank you for your help!

It certainly looks like a yucca, and since Y. elephantipes is a popular house plant, that's likely to be what it is. One German invention for potted plants is balls of expanded clay, which are great for orchids, bromeliads, and other plants needing excellent drainage. They might be good for yuccas, too.
