can a windmill palm survive in side a wooden pressure treated container, 38 x38 x38 inches deep? I am in Rmd BC Canada, all other conditions are favourable, just not sure of the PLANTER long term...roots would not have access to earth underneath, just concrete (sigh) Thanks so much! ~J.
Re: when if i should transplant windmill palm The only problem you might have is the plant becoming root bound when it runs out of room in the planter and limiting the growth of the tree.Although it should grow to a nice size in a planter that big,it would be heavy to move if need be.
Re: when if i should transplant windmill palm Thanks for your reply, I agree moving it would be a problem, (maybe I won't have to deal w/ that aspect?) I just want to know that it wouldnt mind living in a pot long term...guess I'd have to feed it or clip roots or something... ~J.
Re: when if i should transplant windmill palm It should grow fine it probably won't get to a height that some Windmills get to as they can get 30 feet tall or more but good luck.
Re: when if i should transplant windmill palm Ok good! Thank you! I dont have enough sun exposure in proper drainage so opting for the container. ~j
