We just planted a young sugar maple in the fall of last year. It started the spring out very well, budding, and getting leaves. The past couple days some of its leaves don't look so good - 2 or 3 brown ones and quite a few wilty at the ends...still green though. I don't think the leaves on the tree have reached their full size yet. Is this normal? We finally got a nice rain today. Could it have just needed water? If so, will it be okay? That tree was expensive... I don't want it to die! thanks!

Poke around in the soil to see if it is moist.

The soil is moist. The bark is light gray and smooth... looks good. Like I said, lots of leaves but not totally developed in size. Could it be going through some kind of shock?
