The closest I see to this flower in my MacKinnon reference is yellow willowherb, but it was not yellow....definite white and maybe turning pink...Damfino Lakes up near Mt Baker Washington, around 4000 feet, wet area..last week. Any comments? Thx
Seems to be within the range of colours shown on the Burke Herbarium image database: Epilobium luteum. This species is known to hybridize with another Epilobium species (a pink-flowering one) in British Columbia, but I don't think this is the hybrid progeny.
