Does anyone know if I should be concerned about growing my cucumbers, in an area that may also have flowering vines of the Marah genus? We have pulled all of the vines on our side of the fence, but there are residuals on the other side. From what I have read not all of the wild cucumbers (or manroot) are toxic, but it is also difficult to exact which species you have due to hybridization. I suppose I could also ask the local extension office, but I thought I would pick yur brains first!
    Thanks, Jessica

These are pretty different from cucumbers and other garden curcubits, probably not much cause for concern.
