Hi all, I recently bought an 1800sq ft. greenhouse. I am using it to house my parrots in the winter months. I would like to decorate it with Palms and Banana Trees and then as I started researching them, I found out how popular they were. I was wondering if there was a market in wholesaling palms and other tropicals such as Banana Plants. Does anyone know anything about this? Does anyone know of a good supplier? I have ordered some books about cultivating them, but can anyone tell me an average amount of time before a palm would be say 4 feet tall, starting from a little one? Any info would be appreciated, I am on Vancouver Island about 30 mins from Victoria. Thanks so much April
A Windmill palm from seed to about 4 feet tall, on average takes about 10 years or more in our climate.
