Buena Vista Ave(North side) and Everall Str 2 Beni-shidare(????) trees. Flowers seem to be smaller and not so pink than Beni-shidare has.Last pictures shows size of flowers.Last picture of April,2. The tree is just getting more beautiful.

On the South side, just opposite another Beni-shidare tree

 

I'm thinking yes on 'Beni-shidare'. You can see a few flowers that are deep pink. So it looks like maybe this is finishing its bloom and the flowers have faded (which they do) and are losing their moisture content, so are a bit smaller. In a few days if you see one of the sure 'Beni-shidare' you posted earlier, see if it looks more like this one now.

 

'Autumnalis Rosea' probably - seems like there's quite a bit of pink there. They fade to white when the blossoms get old, so you have to look for pink around on something.

I think 'Whitcomb' on the other. It's a young tree. I can't tell if it's just well-grafted, or that's not grafted up high and the grafting is at the ground, but I think it's just unusually healthy because it had a good start. The blossoms do look right, as you say.

 

On north west side of Nichol Rd crossing 16 Ave Okame cherry on parking lot. The tree is big but hiding in conifers.

Accolade
1.Buena Vista & Martin, between popular paths to the beach. Big tree, blooming ahead of others
2.Southmere crescent-17Ave(?????), not so significant bloom but it is on the cherry street, people can come and see there would be other trees in bloom, in the center of the city and close to Semiahmoo shopping mall. I tried to be short and reasonable, maybe Accolade on Southmere crescent-17Ave not the most remarkable, many others look better but they are far from the center.
3.16A Ave & 142 Str, 3 nice trees and many others cherries
4.12Ave & 161aStr, very big and nice tree and very close to Whitcomb trees street
5.18Ave & 145Str big and nice Accolade, 144Str planted with cherries

Yes, the upright branches and those narrow, not-overlapping petals look just like 'Pandora'.

You might be right on the 'Fudan-zakura' too, though the timing (still has a lot of buds) makes me think maybe not. The tree shape is not what we've seen on our few on Nanaimo St, but the look of the flowers on the branch and the very short fat calyx tubes look right. The long single yellow pistil sticking out from the bud isn't quite right. Too bad we don't know how long it's been blooming, but it does seem like it's just coming out now, which is late for 'Fudan-zakura'.

'Spire' is in the running. The timing, tree shape and flowers are right, except for the calyx tubes, which seem to be longer than on these. I might have to copy this to Ornamental Cherries to keep it in mind till we figure it out.

 

I have the same doubts about Fudan-zakura, it is late, but looks like it. Young tree and maybe features are not developed yet?

 

Along the route 18aAve, 136aStr,19a Ave, 139a Str 5 Beni-shidare cherries, 2 beautiful Accolade trees, one Snofozam and streets planted with late flowering cherries. Looking forward to see this beautiful place in April and May
